GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY IS A PRIORITY FOR THE GILROY RODEO

As a nonprofit, it is the Gilroy Rodeo mission to put on a community event that that reaches much further than the rodeo attendees and contestants. We want to serve as a vessel for local organizations to raise funds for their programs, earn community service hours, and form partnerships that benefit local charities. It is our long term goal to establish an operating budget that allows for additional revenue to be given as scholarships and monetary support to agriculture based youth groups. When all the dust has settled, the Gilroy Rodeo hopes to enrich the area for many years to come.

IN OUR FIRST YEAR, WE WERE ABLE TO CONTRIBUTE TO OUR COMMUNITY WITH:

$10,000

in money raised for local non profits and youth organizations. Some of these organizations include: Gilroy FFA, Pacific West Academy, Sobrato FFA, and Adams 4-H

$3,126

donated in partnership with Xtreme Bronc Riding's Pass the Boot campaign to local St. Louise Regional Hospital's breast cancer research efforts.

1,860

volunteer hours completed by our community. This opportunity benefits high school students in need of community service hours and brings locals from all over the area together to support something larger then themselves.

2

$1,000 scholarships given to the past and present Miss Gilroy Rodeo. The rodeo enables young women working towards their bachelors degree to engage in this extracurricular experience. It is our hope that this tradition can continue for years to come.
