Gilroy Rodeo 2018 Media Guidelines
Media Credentials and Important Access Info A Media Credentials Form must be submitted in advance by specified date below and verification of assignment obtained by Arena Director before credentials will be issued. The Media Credentials Request form may be downloaded from www.gilroyrodeo.com under Let’s Rodeo/Media. The form must be submitted by August 6, 2018.
Media Credentials can be picked up for the rodeo Saturday, August 11th at the Volunteer Check-In from Kim Sullivan the Volunteer Coordinator each day of Rodeo with a presentation of photo I.D. Volunteer Check-in is located at the Gilroy Rodeo main entrance at 2365 Dunlap Avenue, Gilroy, CA 95020. Media will park in the volunteer parking lot.
Only those bearing Media Passes will be permitted access to Gilroy Rodeo grounds. You will need an additional badge to shoot from the chutes and on the arena floor. All access arrangements must be made with the Arena Director. News film crews may enter through the main rodeo entrance and must have prior consent. The latest news, events, schedule or event changes, etc. will be available on day sheets or website.
Interviews: All interviews with Rodeo Directors, Miss Gilroy Rodeo, contestants, and performers must be arranged with Event Director Tammy Stone in advance. Last minute interviews cannot be guaranteed and media are asked to respect the limited time and manpower of the Rodeo Committee members and the Cowboys before and after the competition. A Spanish speaking spokesperson will be available to Hispanic media services for interviews with advanced notice.
